> Ranked-choice placement for workshops, electives and breakout rooms. People rank sessions by link, you press Solve, and every room stays inside its capacity.

Sortround places people in sessions by ranked choice. An organiser signs in with a passkey (WebAuthn; no password, no email address), makes an event with sessions and room sizes (capacities), adds the people (or, in adult mode, lets them join by the link) and shares one event link. Each person opens it, enters an 8 character code and ranks the sessions. The organiser presses Solve: the solver runs in the browser and places as many people as possible in their first choice, then their second, inside every capacity and the organiser's locks; equal cases are settled by the event's lottery number (a seeded shuffle). The server checks every solve before saving it. A fairness view shows how many got each choice. After publishing, each person sees only their own place. Re-solves keep everyone already told unless moves are allowed. Rosters and code slips print as PDFs. Data is kept in a Cloudflare D1 database; link secrets and codes are stored only as SHA-256 digests; events are removed 180 days after the last solve.
